# Find the ratio of expenses to savings if total earnings is Rs. 5000 and expenses is Rs. 3000.

**Given:**

Total earnings is Rs. 5000 and expenses is Rs. 3000.

To do:

We have to find the ratio of expenses to savings.

**Solution:**

$=Rs.\ (5000-3000)$

$=Rs. 2000$

Ratio of expenses to savings $=Rs.\ 3000:Rs.\ 2000$

$=3\times1000:2\times1000$

$=3:2$

**The ratio of expenses to savings is $3:2$.**
