Find the products of the following monomials.
a. $ (-6) x^{2} \times 7 x y $
b. $ 2 a b \times(-6) a b $
c. $ \left(-4 x^{2} y^{2}\right) \times 3 x^{2} y^{2} $
d. $ 9 x y z \times 2 z^{3} $

To do:

We have to find the product of the given monomials.

Solution:

a. \( (-6) x^{2} \times 7 x y \)

$=(-6\times7)\times(x^2\times xy)$

$=(-42)\times(x^{2+1}y)$

$=-42x^3y$

b. \( 2 a b \times(-6) a b \)

$=(2\times-6)\times(ab\times ab)$

$=(-12)\times(a^{1+1}b^{1+1})$

$=-12a^2b^2$

c. \( \left(-4 x^{2} y^{2}\right) \times 3 x^{2} y^{2} \)

$=(-4\times3)\times(x^2y^2\times x^2y^2)$

$=(-12)\times(x^{2+2}y^{2+2})$

$=-12x^4y^4$

d. \( 9 x y z \times 2 z^{3} \)

$=(9\times2)\times(xyz\times z^3)$

$=(18)\times(xyz{1+3})$

$=18xyz^4$
