Find the perimeter of rectangle whose
a) $ l=50 \mathrm{~cm}, b=30 \mathrm{~cm} $
b) $ l=2 \cdot 5 \mathrm{~cm}, b=1 \cdot 5 \mathrm{~cm} $

Given:

The measurements of rectangle are:

a) \( l=50 \mathrm{~cm}, b=30 \mathrm{~cm} \) b) \( l=2 \cdot 5 \mathrm{~cm}, b=1 \cdot 5 \mathrm{~cm} \)

To do:

We have to find the perimeter of the given rectangles.

Solution:

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle of length $l$ and breadth $b$ is $2(l+b)$. Therefore,

(i) Perimeter of the rectangle of measurements ( $l=50\ cm, b=30\ cm) =2(50+30)\ cm$

$=2(80)\ cm$

$=160\ cm$.

(ii) Perimeter of the rectangle of measurements ( $l=2.5\ cm, b=1.5\ cm) =2(2.5+1.5)\ cm$

$=2(4)\ cm$

$=8\ cm$.
