Find the perimeter of a book whose lenght is $8\frac{1}{2}$ and breadth is $3\frac{5}{8}$
Given: Length of book = $8\frac{1}{2}$
Breadth of book is =$3\frac{5}{8}$
To find: The perimeter of the book
Solution: Length of rectangular book = $8\frac{1}{2}$ = 8.5 units
Breadth of book = $3\frac{5}{8}$ = 3.625 units
Perimeter of the rectangle = $2(L + B )$
= 2 (8.5 + 3.625)
= 2(12.125) = 24.25 units
So, Perimeter of the book = 24.25 units
