Find the missing number and express it as a fraction in its simplest form.

$ \frac{5}{18} \div \square=\frac{2}{3} $

Given: $\frac{5}{18} \div \square=\frac{2}{3}$

To Do:  Find the missing number and express it as a fraction in its simplest form.

Solution:

Let the unknown number be (x).

$\frac{5}{18}$ divided by $x$  =  $\frac{2}{3}$

$\frac{5}{18}$  =  $\frac{2}{3} \times x$

$\frac{5}{18}$   =   $\frac{2x}{3}$

$\frac{2x}{3}$  =  $\frac{5}{18}$

$x  =  \frac{5}{18}$   $\times  \frac{3}{2}$

$x  =  \frac{5  \times 3} {18  \times 2}$

$x  =  \frac{5 \times 1}{6 \times 2}$                                    [$3 \times 6  = 18$]

$x  =  \frac{5}{12}$

Therefore the value of $x= \frac{5}{12}$
