Given: The number given to us are 16 and 24

To do:  Find LCM and HCF 

Solution:

LCM:

Multiples of 16 are 16, 32, 48, 64...

Multiples of 24 are 24, 48, 72...

The lowest common multiple is 48

HCF:

First we have to find factors of the two numbers

Factors of 16 are 1, 2 , 4 , 8, 16

Factors of 24 are 1, 2 , 3, 4 , 6, 8, 12, 24

You can see 8 is the Highest Common Factor or HCF
