Find the area of sector of a circle of radius 5cm , if the corresponding arc length is 3.5cm.
Given:
Radius of the circle $=5\ cm$.
Length of the arc$=3.5\ cm$.
To do:
We have to find the area of the sector.
Solution:
The area of a sector of arc length $l$ and radius $r$ is $\frac{r \times l}{2}$.
Therefore,
The area of the given sector $=\frac{5\times3.5}{2}$
$=2.5\times3.5$
$=8.75\ cm^2$
The area of the sector is $8.75\ cm^2$.
