Find the area of a rhombus whose diagonals are:$16\ cm$ and $24\ cm $.
Given: A rhombus whose diagonals are $16\ cm$ and $24\ cm$.
To do: To find the area of the rhombus.
Solution:
As given,
Diagonals of the rhombus are $d_1=16\ cm$ and $d_2=24\ cm$
$\therefore$ Area of the rhombus$=\frac{1}{2}\times d_1\times d_2$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times16\times24$
$=8\times 24$
$=192\ cm^2$
Thus, the area of the rhombus is $192\ cm^2$.
