Find the area and perimeter of the rectangle, if length $=46 cm$ and breadth $=25 cm$

Given:

The length of the rectangle $= 46 cm$

The breadth of the rectangle $= 25 cm$

To do :

We have to find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

Solution :

Area of a rectangle of length l and breadth b $= l \times b$.

The perimeter of a rectangle of length l and breadth b  $= 2(l+b)$

Area of the given rectangle $= 46 cm \times 25 cm = 1150 cm^2$ 

Perimeter of the given rectangle $=2(46+25) cm = 2(71) cm = 142 cm$.

The area of the rectangle is $1150 cm^2$

The perimeter of the rectangle is $142 cm$.
