Given:  $\frac{2}{7}\times\frac{5}{9}$

Solution:

 $\frac{2}{7}\times\frac{5}{9}$ = $\frac{10}{63}$

a) Multiplication of fractions is commutative.

So $\frac{2}{7}\times\frac{5}{9}$ = $\frac{5}{9}\times\frac{2}{7}$ = $\frac{10}{63}$


b) $\frac{10}{63}$ <  $\frac{2}{7}$and $\frac{10}{63}$< $\frac{5}{9}$ Comparing$\frac{10}{63}$ and $\frac{2}{7}$

$\frac{10}{63}$ and $\frac{18}{63}$ so $\frac{10}{63}$ < $\frac{2}{7}$

Comparing $\frac{10}{63}$  and $\frac{5}{9}$

$\frac{10}{63}$ and $\frac{35}{63}$ so $\frac{10}{63}$ < $\frac{5}{9}$
