$|x|=x$  |x|={x if $x>0$, x if $x=0$ and $-x$, if $x<0$.

(a) Absolute value of 2 is,

|2| = 2

(b) Absolute value of $-15$ is,

$|-15| = -(-15) = 15$.

The absolute value 2 is 2, and $-15$ is 15.
