Factorize the expression: $( l+m)^2-( l-m)^2$.

Given: The expression: $( l+m)^2-( l-m)^2$.

To do: To factorize the expression: $( l+m)^2-( l-m)^2$.

Solution:

As given, $(l+m)^2-(l-m)^2$

$=[( l+m)-( l-m)][( l+m)+( l-m)]$

$=( l+m-l+m)( l+m+l-m)$

$=( 2m) ( 2l)=4lm$
