Solution:

We know that,

$a^3 + b^3 = (a + b) (a^2 - ab + b^2)$

$a^3 - b^3 = (a - b) (a^2 + ab + b^2)$

Therefore,

$y^3 + 125 = (y)^3 + (5)^3$

$= (y + 5) (y^2 - 5y + 5^2)$

$= (y + 5) (y^2 - 5y + 25)$

Hence, $y^3 + 125 = (y + 5) (y^2 - 5y + 25)$.
