Solution:

$x^{3}-2 x^{2}-x+2$

$\ = x^{2}(x-2)-1(x-2)$

$\ =\left(x^{2}-1\right)(x-2)$

$\ =\left(x^{2}-1^{2}\right)(x-2)$

$\ =(x+1)(x-1)(x-2)$
