Express $ \frac{-5}{6} $ as a rational number with numerator:
(i) -15
(ii) 10

Given:

Given rational number is $\frac{-5}{6}$.
To do:
We have to express the given rational number as a  rational number with numerator:

(i) $-15$
(ii) $10$

Solution:

(i) To express $\frac{-5}{6}$ as a rational number with numerator $-15$, multiply numerator and denominator of $\frac{-5}{6}$ by $\frac{-15}{-5}=3$.

Therefore,

$\frac{-5}{6}=\frac{-5\times3}{6\times3}$

$=\frac{-15}{18}$.

(ii) To express $\frac{-5}{6}$ as a rational number with numerator $10$, multiply numerator and denominator of $\frac{-5}{6}$ by $\frac{10}{-5}=-2$.

Therefore,

$\frac{-5}{6}=\frac{-5\times-2}{6\times-2}$

$=\frac{10}{-12}$.
