Explain what is mononomial, binomial and trinomial?
Polynomial :
Polynomial is an expression, which is a combination of variables, constants, and exponents with a positive integer combined by a mathematical operation.
Example :
$3x^2 -5x + 2$ is a polynomial, in which,
3 - Coefficient of $x^2$
$-5$ - Coefficient of $x$
2 - Constant
x - Variable.
Monomials :
A polynomial with exactly one term is called a monomial.
Example: $3x^4$.
Binomials :
A polynomial with exactly two terms is called a binomial.
Example: $3x^4 + 2xy$.
Trinomials :
A polynomial with exactly three terms is called a trinomial.
Example: $3x^4 +2xy -3$.
