Explain the types of fractions.
Types of fractions:
(I)Proper fraction :
If the numerator is less than the denominator it is called a proper fraction.
Example :
$\frac{1}{2}, \frac{3}{5}$.
(II)Improper fraction :
If the numerator is greater than the denominator it is called an improper fraction.
Example :
$\frac{8}{5}, \frac{3}{2}$.
(III)Mixed fraction :
A whole number part combined with a proper fraction is called a mixed fraction.
Example :
$5 \frac{1}{2}, 4 \frac{3}{5}$.
