Explain the first law of motion.

Newton's first law of motion states that a body at rest remains at rest or if in motion remains motion, moving in a constant velocity until it is acted upon by an external force. For example, imagine you are at rest. If you are pushed by a person, you will move, basing on the force applied to you. Similarly, imagine you are driving a car. When a sharp turn is taken, your body makes a jerk basing on the force applied to you because of turning.
