Explain puberty.
Puberty is the process of physical changes through which a boy or girl becomes sexually mature and capable of sexual reproduction.
On average, girls begin puberty at ages 10–11 and complete puberty at ages 15–17, whereas boys generally begin puberty at ages 11–12 and complete puberty at ages 16–17.
It affects 'boys' and 'girls' physical changes differently.
In girls:
1. The first sign of puberty is usually the development of breasts.
2. Then growing hair in the pubic area and armpits.
3. At last Menstruation (or a period) usually happens.
In boys:
1. Puberty usually begins with the testicles and penis getting bigger.
2. Then growing hair in the pubic area and armpits.
3. Muscles grow, the voice deepens, and facial hair develops.
