Explain interior and exterior of a circle.


The interior of a circle is the set of points whose distance from the center is less than the radius.

The exterior of a circle is the set of points in the plane whose distance from the center is greater than the radius.

In the above figure,

OP is the radius. OQ


OR>OP, this implies, R is a point in the exterior of the circle.
