Explain Hydrochloric Acid?

Hydrochloric acid or muriatic acid is a colorless, water-based, inorganic chemical system with the formula hydrogen chloride (HCl). It has a special pungent smell.
It is the main component of gastric acid, an acid produced naturally in the human stomach that helps to digest food.
It is also classified as strongly acidic and can attack the skin over a wide composition range.
