Explain Dermal Tissue In Plant.

The dermal tissues cover and protect the soft tissues of plants. They also control water absorption and gaseous exchange. The epidermis is a dermal tissue which secretes a layer of wax known as cuticle that prevents water loss. The guard cells of stomata contain chloroplasts. Stomata regulate the gaseous exchange. Root airs are the extensions of root epidermis. They increase the surface area of the root for absorption of water and minerals.
