- Who is Who
Explain clearly why, a person who has lost the sight of one eye is at a disadvantage compared with the normal person who has two good eyes.
A person who has lost the sight of one eye is at a disadvantage compared with the normal person who has two good eyes, this is due to following reasons:
1. The person's field of view decreases and becomes limited to 150º. Because having two eyes enables a person to see a wider field of view of 180º.
2. The person's ability to judge the distance of objects accurately get decreased. Whereas, in the case of a person with two good eyes, both the eyes focus on the same object from different angles and send two images to the brain that differ slightly from each other. The brain then combines these two slightly different images to build a 3-D picture of the object enabling the person to judge the distance of the object more accurately.
