Explain Electrostatic Force.

The electrostatic force is an attractive and repulsive force between two electrically charged particles or objects. Like charges repel each other while unlike charges attract each other.

It is also known as Coulomb’s force or Coulomb interaction, as the laws of electrostatics were discovered by French physicist Charles Augustin de Coulomb in 1785 and are known as Coulomb’s law.

Electrostatic force unit: N (Newton).
