Does division follow Associative property?
Associative property :
Associative property explains that addition and multiplication of numbers are possible regardless of how they are grouped.
Associative as the name implies, means grouping. By grouping we mean the numbers which are given inside the parenthesis ().
The division does not follow the associative property.
(a÷b)÷c ≠ a÷(b÷c)
For example,
$(20÷10)÷2 = 2÷2 = 1$
$20÷(10÷2) = 20÷5=4$
1≠ 4
This implies,
Division does not follow the associative property.
