Does a body at rest possess any kinetic energy ?

As known Kinetic energy $K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2$

Where $m\rightarrow$ mass of the body

And $v\rightarrow$ velocity of the moving body

If the body is at rest, then the velocity $v=0$

Then kinetic energy$=\frac{1}{2}m( 0)^2$

$=0$

Thus, if the body is at rest then the kinetic energy is zero.
