$0.04 = 4 \times 10^{-2}$

 

$\frac{0.0000684}{0.04} = \frac{684 \times 10^{-7}}{ 4 \times 10^{-2}}$

                              $= 171 \times 10^{-7 - (-2)}$

 

                              $= 171 \times 10^{-7+2}$

 

                              $= 171 \times 10^{-5}$

 

                              $= 0.00171$.

Therefore, the value of $\frac{0.0000684}{0.04}$ is $0.00171$. 

(2) $31584 \div 4.7$

$\frac{31584}{4.7} = \frac{31584 \times 10}{4.7 \times 10}$

                    $= \frac{315840}{47}$

                    $= 6720$

Therefore, the value of $\frac{31584}{4.7}$ is $6720$.


(3) $154 \div 1.25$

$\frac{154}{1.25} = \frac{154 \times 100}{1.25 \times 100}$

                  $= \frac{15400}{125}$

                  $= \frac{616}{5}$

                  $= 123.2$

Therefore, the value of $\frac{154}{1.25}$ is $123.3$.

(4) $0.79765 \div 3.71$

$\frac{0.79765}{3.71} = \frac{79765 \times 10^{-5}}{371 \times 10^{-2}}$

 

                          $= 215 \times 10^{-5-(-2)}$

 

                              $= 215 \times 10^{-5+2}$

                         $= 215 \times 10^{-3}$

                         $= 0.215$.

Therefore, the value of $\frac{0.79765}{3.71}$ is $0.215$.
