Divide $\frac{-16}{9}$ by $\frac{12}{-5}$

The given numbers are $\frac{-16}{9}$ and $\frac{12}{-5}$

To do :

We have to divide the given numbers.

Solution :

 $\frac{-16}{9}$ ÷ $\frac{12}{-5}$ = $\frac{-16}{9} \times \frac{-5}{12}$

                           $= \frac{16}{9} \times \frac{5}{12}$        $[- x - = +]$

                          $ = \frac{16\times 5}{9\times 12}$

                           $= \frac{4\times5}{9\times3}$

                           $= \frac{20}{27}$.

The value of  $\frac{-16}{9}$ ÷ $\frac{12}{-5}$  is    $= \frac{20}{27}$.
