Nucleus:
- Nucleus is a spherical organelle found in eukaryotic cells.
- Nucleus is enclosed by a nuclear envelope.
- It contains chromosomes.
- Nucleus is rich in DNA.
- Controlling gene expression, and DNA replication are the major functions of nucleus.
Nucleolus:
- Nucleolus is a sub-organelle found in the nucleus.
- There is no limiting membrane surrounding the nucleolus.
- It does not contain chromosomes.
- Nucleolus is rich in RNA.
- Ribosome synthesis, and assembling signal recognition particles are the main functions of nucleolus.
