When an object is placed beyond the centre of curvature of a concave mirror, then the image formed by the mirror is as follows:



The image given above shows that the image formed by the concave mirror is:

(i) between the focus and centre of curvature,

(ii) real and inverted,

(iii) smaller than the object (or diminished).

Explanation

A concave mirror is a mirror that is curved inward in the middle. It is also known as converging mirrors, due to the fact that when parallel incident rays fall on the surface of the mirror, the rays will reflect and meet at a particular point and form the

image.
