Describe the butterfly method for comparing fractions.

Butterfly method for comparing fraction:

In Butterfly method, we multiply the numerator of the first fraction with the denominator of the second fraction and the numerator of the second fraction with the denominator of the first fraction. It is similar to cross multiplication

Suppose you want to compare the fractions frac{1}{3} + frac{2}{5}. Multiply the numerator of each fraction by the denominator of the other:

1 $\times$ 5 = 5, write 5 beside the first antenna of butterfly

2 $\times$ 3 = 6, write 6 beside the first antenna of butterfly.

We know 5

So, we get $\frac{1}{3}
