Describe an activity to show that solution of salt in water can conduct electricity.
Procedure:
Step 1.Take a beaker and fill it half with water.
Step 2.Dissolve some common salt in this water.
Step 3.Connect two graphite rods with the end terminal of a battery, with a zero watt bulb in between.
Step 4.Now dip the graphite rods in the solution of salt and water.
Observation:
The bulb starts glowing indicating the flow of current.
Inference:
This shows that a salt solution can conduct electricity.
