Define transpiration and spring.
Transpiration is the process where plants absorb water through the roots and then give off water vapour through pores in their leaves. It creates a vacuum or a suction pull, similar to that which happens while drinking liquids using a straw. Hence, xylem is able to transport water against gravity from the roots to the leaves.
Spring is simply a place where the water from an aquifer flows out of the ground naturally. It can be imagined as a well. However, in wells, we need to dig the ground to reach an aquifer. Springs occur naturally. The water in spring can be used for various domestic, and basic purposes. Sometimes, this water is also used for medicinal purposes.
