Define Speed And Velocity. What Are Their SI Units?

Speed: The distance covered by a moving body  in a unit of time is called the speed of the body. It is a scalar quantity. It exhibits magnitude only, not the direction. Its SI unit is $meter/second$ or $m/s$.

Velocity: The displacement of a body per unit time is known as the velocity of the moving body. In other words, it can be said the speed of the moving body with direction. It exhibits magnitude and direction. Its SI unit is $meter/second$ or $m/s$.
