Define Acceleration?
Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with respect to time. An object is changing acceleration if it is changing its velocity.
It is a vector quantity
Mathematically, Acceleration is given by,
$a = \frac{v - u}{ t}$
where, a = acceleration, v = final velocity, u =initial velocity, t = time period
The units of velocity are meter/second2 (m/s2).
