Check which of the following are solutions of the equations $2x -y =6$ and which are not.$(\sqrt3, 0)$

Given:

$2x -y =6$
To do:

We have to check whether $(\sqrt3, 0)$ is a solution of the equation $2x -y =6$.
Solution:

To check whether $(\sqrt3, 0)$ is a solution of the equation $2x -y =6$, we have to substitute it in the given equation.

Therefore,

$2(\sqrt3)-0=2\sqrt3$

$≠6$

$(\sqrt3, 0)$ does not satisfy the equation $2x-y=6$.

Hence, $(\sqrt3, 0)$ is not a solution of $2x-y=6$.
