Carry out the following division.$ 28 x^{4} \div 56 x $

Given:

\( 28 x^{4} \div 56 x \)

To do:

We have to find \( 28 x^{4} \div 56 x \).
Solution:

We know that,

$a^m\div a^n=a^{(m-n)}$
 $28 x^{4} \div 56 x=\frac{28x^4}{56x}$

$=\frac{28x^{(4-1)}}{28\times2}$

$=\frac{x^3}{2}$

Therefore,

$28 x^{4} \div 56 x=\frac{x^3}{2}$.
