Can Venus flytrap consume and digest insects?

Yes, Venus flytrap can consume and digest insects.

Venus flytrap is an Insectivorous plant-like pitcher plant, and sundew. These plants are green and carry out photosynthesis to obtain a part of the food required by them, but they lack some of the vital nutrients such as nitrogen since they grow in nitrogen-deficient soil.

So, to recompense these nutrients they trap and eat some insects and thus they are also said to be partial heterotrophs.
