Calculate the diameter and radius of a circle whose circumference is 26.4 m.
Given:
Circumference of the circle$=26.4\ m$.
To do:
We have to find the diameter and the radius of the circle.
Solution:
Let the radius of the given circle be $r$.
We know that,
Circumference of a circle of radius $r=2 \pi r$.
Therefore,
$2 \pi r=26.4\ m$
$2\times\frac{22}{7}\times r=26.4\ m$
$r=\frac{26.4\times7}{44}$
$r=\frac{1.4\times7}{2}$
$r=0.7\times7$
$r=4.9$
Radius of the circle $=4.9\ m$.
Diameter of the circle$=4.9\times2\ m=9.8\ m$.
Radius of the circle is 4.9 m and the diameter of the circle is 9.8 m.
