Solve the following riddle:I am a number, tell my identity! Take me seven times over and add a fifty, to reach a triple century you still need a forty.
To do: Solve the riddle.
Solution:
Let the required number be $y$
$7y + 50 = 300 - 40 = 260$
$7y + 50 = 260$

$7y = 210$
$y = \frac{210}{7} = 30$
So, required number is 30.
