Solve the following:$\frac{1.98 \times 1.98-1.02 \times 1.02}{0.96} $
Given: $\frac{1.98 \times 1.98-1.02 \times 1.02}{0.96} $
To do: Solve the following
Solution:
$\frac{1.98 \times 1.98-1.02 \times 1.02}{0.96} $
= $\frac{1.98^2 -1.2^2}{0.96}$
Using identity $a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)$
= $\frac{(1.98+1.02)(1.98-1.02)}{0.96}$
= $\frac{3.00 \times 0.96}{0.96}$
