Answer the following questions:
1) What is algebra?
2) What is symmetry?
3) What is ratio?

Algebra

It is a branch of mathematics that deals in representing numbers through variables.

Algebra uses letters (like x or y) or other symbols in place of values

For example: $x + 2 = 8$

"$x$" is used in place of a value we don't know and is called "variable".

In this case the value of "$x$" can be found by solving the equation

Symmetry

Something is symmetrical when it is the same on both sides. A shape has symmetry if a central dividing line (a mirror line) can be drawn on it, to show that both sides of the shape are exactly the same.

Ratio:
To find the ratio between two things, divide the two quantities.
For example, If there are 10 pens and 15 pencils with Rahul,
The ratio between the number of pens and pencils

= $\frac{Number \ of \ pens }{Number \ of \ pencils}$

=$\frac{10}{15}$

=$\frac{2}{3}$.
