(a) What is the frequency range of hearing in humans?
(b) Which of the following sound frequencies cannot be heard by a human ear?
(i) 10 Hz
(ii) 100 Hz
(iii) 10,000 Hz
(iv) 15 Hz
(v) 40,000 Hz
(a). In, humans, the frequency range of hearing is $20\ Hz-20,000\ Hz$. This means that the sound waves between the range of $20\ Hz-20,000\ Hz$ are audible to human ears.
(b). The sound frequencies $10\ Hz,\ 15\ Hz$ and $40000\ Hz$ are beyond the human audible range of $20\ Hz-20,000\ Hz$. So these sound frequencies cannot be heard by the human ear.
