(a) (i) Acids = A, C, and D (as they have a pH less than 7).
(ii) Alkalis = B, E, and F (as they have a pH greater than 7).

(b) (i) Sulphuric acid is used to make car batteries
(ii) Nitric acid is used to make explosives
(iii) Sodium hydroxide is used for making soaps.
(iv) Nitric acid is used to make fertilizer.
