Arrange the following lengths in their decreasing magnitude:
2m, 2400cm, 10000mm, 0.02km
2m, 2400cm, 10000mm, 0.02km
To arrange the given lengths in their decreasing magnitude, first of all, we need to change their unit to any of one.
Here, we'll change all the length to the metre (m)
2m (already given in metre)
2400cm = 24m $(100cm=1m, so, 2400cm=\frac{2400}{100}=24m)$
10000mm = 10m $(1000mm=1m, so, 10000mm=\frac{10000}{1000}=10m)$
0.02km = 20m $(1km=1000m, so, 0.02km=0.02\times 1000=20m)$
Now, we have
2m, 24m, 10m, 20m
According to their value, we can arrange it in decreasing magnitude or order as all are in the same unit.
24m ------> 20m ------> 10m ------> 2m
Hence, the descending magnitude of the given lengths in their actual unit are:
2400cm ------> 0.02km ------> 10000mm ------> 2m
