Ananya bought a notebook for Rs 20$\frac{1}{4}$ a pencil box for Rs15$\frac{3}{4}$ and a pack of crayons for Rs 15$\frac{1}{2}$. How much money she spent in all?
Given:
Cost of a box of pencil = Rs15$\frac{3}{4}$
Cost of notebook=Rs 20$\frac{1}{4}$
Cost of crayons = Rs Rs15$\frac{1}{2}$
To find: Total money spent
Solution:
Total money spent = Cost of a box of pencil + Cost of notebook+ Cost of crayons
= Rs15$\frac{3}{4}$ +Rs 20$\frac{1}{4}$+ Rs Rs15$\frac{1}{2}$
=Rs$\frac{63}{4}+\frac{81}{4}+\frac{31}{2}$
=Rs$\frac{63+81+62}{4}$
=Rs$\frac{206}{4}$
=Rs$51.50$
Therefore the total money spent by Ananya is Rs 51.50
