An object travels $20\ m$ in $5\ s$ and then another $40\ m$ in $5\ s$. What is the average speed of the object?- $6\ m/s$
- $0\ m/s$
- $12\ m/s$
- $2\ m/s$
Here, total distance traveled $=20\ m+40\ m=60\ m$
Total time $t=5\ s+5\ s=10\ s$
Therefore, average speed $=\frac{total\ distance}{total\
time}$
$=\frac{60\ m}{10\ s}$
$=6\ m/s$
Therefore, option a). is correct.
