An object of mass 2 kg is sliding with a constant velocity of 4 m/s on a frictionless horizontal table. The force required to keep this object moving with the same velocity is:
$(a)$. 32 N
$(b)$. 0 N
$(c)$. 2 N
$(d)$. 8 N
Here, the mass of the object $m=2\ kg$
The velocity of the moving object $v=4\ m/s$
As the velocity will be unchanged so the acceleration will be zero.
So, the required force $F=ma=2\ kg\times0=0$
So, option (b) is correct.
