An object moves along a straight line with an acceleration of $2\ m/s^2$. If its initial speed is $10\ m/s$, what will be its speed $2\ s$ later?
Here, acceleration $a=2\ m/s^2$
Initial velocity $u=10\ m/s$
Time $t=2\ s$
Final velocity $v=?$
On using the first equation of the motion $v=u+at$
Or $v=10+2\times2$
Or $v=10+4$
Or $v=14\ m/s$
Thus, the velocity of the object after $2\ s$ will be $14\ m/s$.
