After buying 6 sweets at Rs. 12 each, Dakshesh had Rs. 28 left. How much money did he have at first?
Given:
After buying 6 sweets at Rs. 12 each, Dakshesh had Rs. 28 left.
To do:
We have to find the initial amount with Dakshesh.
Solution:
Let the initial amount with Dakshesh be $x$.
Cost of 1 sweet$=Rs.\ 12$.
Cost of 6 sweets$=Rs.\ 12\times6=Rs.\ 72$.
This implies,
$x-72=28$
$x=28+72$
$x=Rs.\ 100$
Therefore, Dakshesh had Rs. 100 a first.
